UK High Commission delegation led by High Commissioner H E Andrew Patrick visited the Ministry of Mass Media on 27th. Discussions focused on media freedom, government reforms, and regulatory initiatives in Sri Lanka. The High Commissioner shared UK best practices on media regulation, social media governance, the UK’s communications regulator, and the responsibilities of technology companies. I emphasized the current situation of journalism and the need for journalist training in Sri Lanka. The delegation included High Commissioner H E Andrew Patrick, First Secretary for Politics Mr.Tom Soper, and Political Advisor Mr.Insaf Bakeer Markar.
