President Maithripala Sirisena and the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo held bilateral discussion yesterday (26th May) at Hotel Hilton Nagoya on attracting Indonesian investments to Sri Lanka.
“The current stable conditions in Sri Lanka gives an opportunity for investors for local productions as well as the productions made from imported raw materials, which can be sent for international market”, said President Sirisena. He added that Sri Lanka gives lot of incentives for foreign entrepreneurs to invest in local production.
The Indonesian President requested Sri Lankan cooperation in the activities of Indian Ocean Rim Association, where Indonesia is going to get the Chairmanship.
The attention was also paid on increasing the number of flights of the Garuda Indonesian National Airline to Sri Lanka.
