The first flag of the program to sell anti-tobacco flags, carried out in parallel to the World No Tobacco Day, was pinned on the President today (May 31) at the Presidential Secretariat.
This program will be held for the 20th successive time under the theme “Towards a Tobacco Free Friendly Environment for All of Us to Live in” this will be carried out from May 31 to June 26.
Sri Lanka has been implementing this program from 1996, in line with the World No Tobacco Day. Strengthening this further, large number of events has been implemented under the “Drug Free Country National Program” which is carried out under a concept of President Sirisena.
Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare S. B. Dissanayake, Secretary to the Ministry Mahinda Senevirathne and Director General of Divi Neguma Chandra Wickramasinghe also participated in this occasion.
