President Maithripala Sirisena is expected to appoint the new Governor of the Central Bank soon.

According to State Minister of Finance Lakshman Yapa Abeywardhena the newly appointed Governor will be a well-experienced and a moret suitable person for the position.

The appointment will be valid for a period of one year
