the Dutch Foreign Affairs Minister Stef Blok said meeting with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe Saturday (19) at Temple Trees.The Dutch Minister, who is on an official visit to the island, noted that the Netherlands is now the 6th largest foreign investor in Sri Lanka in the areas of agriculture, bridges & water and said his country's entrepreneurs are willing to further the investments in Sri Lanka.


Prime Minister Wickremesinghe expressed his views on the possibility of enhancing cooperation in different sectors based on the existing relations between the two countries.The discussion focused at length on the various projects being implemented in Sri Lanka with the assistance of the Netherlands and the current global political and economic trends.Prime Minister's Secretary Saman Ekanayake and a group of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands were also present on the occasion.
