50,000 graduate trainees will be made permanent from the 3^rd of January on the instructions of Minister Janaka Bandara Tennakoon. Steps were taken to recruit 60,000 graduates to the public service as soon as President Gotabhaya Rajapakse came in to power. Accordingly they have been sent for training. 50,000 out of them who underwent training for one year will be made permanent from the 03^rd of January while the rest will be made permanent from the 1^st of April in the public service
