Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Hon.Dr. Bandula Gunawardane had a discussion

with the representatives from the film industry at the Ministry of Mass Media yesterday (10).

This discussion was held with the objective of obtaining the ideas for drafting a national cinema

policy in order to develop the Sri Lankan cinema industry.  Newly appointed chairman of the National film corporation Deepal Chandraratne, with expertise in the film industry, artists, producers and many others related to the field also took part in this discussion.

 Minister Dr.Gunawardane stated, that the young generation hardly goes to cinema halls and immediate measures should be put in place to develop the cinema industry in a way that will more youths.
